Pretty amazing considering the date and cost....
Much more interested in this sort of solution over the typical enterprise that simply phones up a vendor and orders a SAN.

What percentage of iPhone users are on Verizon (world wide)? Serious question, because I don't see how Verizon getting the iPhone 4 has anything to do with an iPhone 5 release date. I really doubt 4g will be coming with the next iPhone. Everyone seems to think Verizon and its customers have some sort of power over apple. Wasn't an issue for the rest of the world and all the carriers and customers that got iPhones mid-cycle between the 3GS and 4.
It has everything do with it. You must not know much about variable costs within a business atmosphere. Many variables for sales & production with a release like Apple made in February of 2011. That release could easily have been guided through strategic corporate planning... for LTE... for Verizon... for market saturation & adoption... there are a lot of variables to think about.
More importantly, why do you think it doesn't? We are talking about LTE, and its adoption throughout a given marketplace.
In the U.S., 4G is not adopted entirely, and I am talking about true 4G. Verizon will be the first network. Sprint does not have 4G data capabilities, it is a mere marketing ploy - they have WiMax. AT&T will be the network to follow suit behind Verizon with a strong network of LTE. And then, if you get into countries, and their adoption(s) of LTE, then you are even more focused on your marketplace, and all the variable costs within production & sales.
My 2nd Question to you is - Are you one of the many who thought Verizon would never be getting an iPhone?

I saw a commercial for RIM's playbook the other day. It has some uniqueness to the interface. Sure all tablets are going to be similar to an extent but at least RIM tried to put a little originality into theirs unlike Samsung and their blatant copy of the ipad.

It is seeming more and more likely that enhanced interrogation techniques (a.k.a. torture), provided information that allowed the U.S. to kill O.B.L.
I recall many on this forum criticizing these techniques claiming they never provided useful information.
What say you now??
And how exactly did murdering Bin Laden help us any? All he is now is a trophy for Obama's next campaign.

Hmmm. I think I figured this one out. It's Apple. Apple makes Macs. All new Macs have Airport. Macs are plugged into the Internet. iPhones are made by Apple. Apple controls the default settings on Mac OS X.
"If you're near a Mac your calls are free."
How 'bout them Apples?
Sweet. But, there's more to just piggybacking on your mac's airport connection to make calls. I think more has to be done to make this networking possible.

Hahaha Yea... Meant CDMA! Nevertheless... New iPhone in Feb as well as the white one later this month! Definately no iPhone 5 coming this year!

It doesn't sound like all that much, Apple has a possible 100 million customers if MobileMe becomes free to use as backup. That is about 120 MB per user, pathetic. How much does Amazon have at the moment?
That is raw data space so no redundancy but also not compressed, i think raw data = usable data.

My Brother MFC-somethingorother is excellent. I don't get curled paper, it connected wirelessly to my PC and Macs flawlessly, and it doesn't go through much toner. :)

You can use backgrounder to disable multitasking. In Global Settings, set "Enable at Launch" to "off," and all apps should quit when you press the home button, except those configured to do otherwise in the Overrides section.

Opera will zoom entire pages, very useful for resizing tiny little thumnail photos or huge images too big for my hpvs17 monitor... if it can be done, why isn't Apple on top of it?

I did something similar once. Basically a combination of turning off then on the external drive, while connected and/or restarting my computer fixed this.
Somewhere some deamon still thinks the drive is connected, it's just a matter of getting it to reset.

I suppose your thinking (and those of many others here) is that he should have been given a trial by jury, sent to prison, and that we had no right to try and obtain information from him?
Yep, that's what I think. He should have been interrogated, but not with "enhanced" methods.

so it seem that everybody is jumping on this cloud bandwagon. just wondering if having web based operating systems and file storage will slow down broadband internet speed?
is that a concern? honestly i'd rather have faster internet, if that's the choice.
could somebody tell me more about this?
thanks.

Using more bandwidth will... use more bandwidth.
