:).. Just like I tune to Bloomberg radio everyday, listening to all those economists, money managers, bond traders pondering how every other month the Fed makes its move on the interest rate... I'm sick and tired of them predicting what's about to happen must happen by the rule of economics. But I tune in nonetheless every day when I drive to work.:D

You are absolutely right. I have also completely lost the hope about it.
Yeah....in 2011 again it will be viewed too late for CIR, because in 2012 they have to face presidential election and incumbent president would be preparing for 2nd term. And again there will be a promise for CIR and 2013 will be a fresh year, 2014 will be a mid-term election year, 2015 will be too late for the term as they have to face presidential elections in 2016. Cycle repeats...after 5 cycles (i.e. 20 years) we all will get GC or kicked out of queue by issuing rfe/memo or totally frustrated and gone back to our home country or we might be still waiting in line for CIR to rescue us.

Lecter , the quality of your pics is first class...the sharpness which comes from very good optics is amazing.
Your subjects and locations, being so exotic to western eyes make for great portraits
The set you posted is great. This last one I like for the short DOF, the highly contrasted BW areas, the ripples on the water, and about the composition I like the geommetry of the photo, the intersecting diadonals of boat and pole, with the upright figure of the subject, and the way the sight is led to the boats in front.

Another July 2 TSC filer. Got email today about RFE notice sent (don't know yet, but guess is medical - skipped this form in the original petition to beat the July 2 deadline).

My attorney says... just write a letter after chaning the name in passport. Mine is a name split issue.
My old passport has Last Name = Last Name + First NAme and First NAme = Blank and visa etc it is FNU
I got my H1B visa inside the US and when I went to the consulate, the lady refused to stamp my visa. I had to go to the passport office and get an "observation" that my name should be read as
First Name : "FirstName"
Last Name : "LastName"

Employers need to have already declared whether their sponsoring of H1B's result in use of available numbers or exempted from it. They need to substantiate, I believe, with tax documents among other things. The applicant, or USCIS does not decide the category; rather, USCIS can deny an application if it deems an organization, and/or rarely, a position, is NOT 'not for profit': Eg. fully non-profit RD wing of a commercial company rarely gets
designated as non-profit and the H1B's are mostly within the cap.

Universities, goverment agencies, university medical hospitals are well-known examples that fit this description. Private sector organizations will not qualify in most cases. The key question you have to ask yourself to determine if you are eligible for an exemption is "Does this organization operate with the motive of profit ?". Of course, as always you will need to consult an attorney for a definite answer if you are not sure.

After following up for 1 month in person on my case with Segi Corp consultancy (NJ). They gave me my EAC number when i told them that i will withdraw my case.
When i try to find the status on my case i got the following from USCIS website .
"On June 16, 2009, we rejected this case I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER, because you did not resubmit
payment to correct the insufficient funds notice. On June 16, 2009, we sent you a notice, advising you to resubmit
payment within 14 days to correct the deficiency. 14 days have passed and the deficiency has not been corrected.
Accordingly, this case has been returned with all accompanying documents and is now considered improperly filed and
rejected."
please let me know the procedure to file a case against this consultancy..

I have a Sony DSC F717. I got it to photograph model trains, so it is almost lways in macro mode. Frequently, the image blurs toawrds the back, even when set at the highest F-stop. The subject is usially about 5-12 inches away from the camera, depending on the model I am photographing. The models are about an inch high and up to 10 inches long.
I suspect a wide angle lense should help this, but sony has two available for their 58MM bezel. Am i right on this? Basically i want close up on full manual with
as good a depth of fied as possible. Here are the choises:

Your experiencing an effect called Depth of Field(DOF). This is commen and usally you want to minimize it for effect but not in your case.
You will need to learn to use a DOF calculator, there is one on this site but it does not include the 2/3" sensor sive you camera has. A better one for you right now may be this calculator here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikoncp5700/page2.asp
Using this you can determine the distance you need, focal length and distance to subject to obtain the desired DOF. Currently on the wide end of your camera, you'll need to move about a 1.5 feet from the focus point with f8 to get the DOF you desire. If you get the WA adaptor you'll be able to move closer to about .9 feet from the focus point and still obtain the DOF you desire.
You'll never be able to be within 5 inches from the object and obtain the DOF you desire, it simply is not possible with you camera. As to which WA adaptor to get? I don't know. I've never used anything of the sort so I can not answer that question for you.

me and my wife,both residents of singapore, have h1b approved this year through the same consultancy firm and the company has already received the approval notice. We are planning to appear for visa interview sometime end of this month with Singapore Embassy and the company is going to send all the documents by next week.
Since we both are going for visa interview, I have few concerns regarding our cases:
1 We both are planning to go for visa interview on the same day. So, who should go first so that it would not interfere others interview? Or does it really make any difference?
2 Will visa officer ask any of us that since you are married why you haven't bring your spouse together? Can we say that the other also has h1b interview on the same day?
3 I am not sure whether my wife would face any questions regarding that she is married and does she have any spouse issues or what if mine H1b is not going to approved? would she still be interested to pursue her h1b or like that?
4 My h1b was denied last year because of company project document issue with same singapore embassy. So I am not sure does it going to make any impact this time or not? Any help appreciated.

i lostmy legal in 2002 (b2). during 2003 i won gc lottery . we did al paper work till last step.my lawyer toll me dont go couse deportation. In 2005 my employer apply gc for me (em3) In April 2006 I-140 aproved.now we waiting for priority date..
My question to you .. my lottery case priority date can be use for my eb3 case?
