For the 6115CD you'll need a AAUI to TP (Twisted Pair) Ethernet Transceiver (http://www.google.com/images?q=aaui+apple), the follow the instructions below (also dependent on what System Version is has). System 7 isn't going to play nice with MacOS 10.4 and later, but you could connect the 6115CD to the 7300, and then transfer from the 7300 to MacOS X).
For the 7300, Ethernet is the best was to go. Grab an Ethernet cable from your current Mac to the 7300. Now, on each machine setup TCP/IP and Appletalk over Ethernet.
For the TCP/IP setup, assign a manual address of 192.168.0.1 for one machine and 192.168.0.2 for the other. The Mask is 255.255.255.0 and the router address becomes the Manual IP address you gave to the OTHER machine.
Turn file sharing on on your new Mac, go to Chooser in the Apple Menu on the 7300, click on AppleShare, and then, if your new machine's Icon doesn't show up, click on "Manual IP Address" (IIRC), and enter the IP address you assigned to your new Mac.
That's a pretty brief overview. Things may not work for a variety of reasons but in a fair wind, this should work.
Good luck! :)

Eh, more than likely there is very little difference.
moto is too powerful to have apple control them, but maybe moto agreed to this, who knows?
i think apple has been the one wanting to move forward and it has been moto that has slowed things down
we should be at 2 ghz right now...btw, amd just passed 2 ghz recently

As I have said before I will buy a powerbook in september just before I go to university. I wanted to buy an ipod as well. However I just couldn't wait!
Because the new ipod can be used on both a mac and a pc depending on how it has been formatted, I decided at the spare of the moment to order one, this was partly due to the fact that my creative muvo 64mb broke down.
Will the ipod be better than the creative muvo? (please don't answer this question It was a joke):p
Well after some time ( I ordered it on the 29/6/03 ( 6/29/03 - for my american friends). I couldn't believe I ordered it, I am going to be in serious debt by the end of this month lol.:D
When I get my powerbook how easy is it to reformat it to work on the mac?
I will keep you updated.

I have had the same problem twice in two days.
When trying to send a mail attachment via a 3rd party application (one time it was a photo from Apple's Photos app, the other time it was a PDF from iAnnotate) I have had the app lock up after pressing the send key. When I exit to the home screen and re-launch the app, the app reopens as if it had been force quit and everything appears to be fine. However, when I go into Mail, I find that mail is completely locked up. I just see the mail screen with no text on it (as you see it when you first launch before any of the text is loaded). Force quitting does not solve the problem at that point. Both times I had to reboot my iPad and during the reboot I got stuck at a black screen with an infinite circular loading icon and after about 10 minutes I did a hard reboot from there which allowed my iPad to boot back up again. Once I lost a bunch of settings on the reboot (like the orientation lock switch) which I had to set up again. The second time it happened, I didn't loose any settings.
Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this problem?

If I remember correctly, you should rebuild the LS database (the equivalent of rebuilding the desktop is OS 9). Download Panther Cache Cleaner, and it has an option to do so. That should fix it (correct me if I am wrong).

looks great.
That very phone is practicing for it's display in the Smithsonia Institution some day (as the most significant technological development of the Millennium perhaps).
how much do you suppose a working prototype like that is worth?
$20 million or so?
oh yeah.

Because Apple do not duplicate the documentation from superclasses in subclasses. The objectForKey: method (not function) is defined in NSDictionary which is NSMutableDictionaries superclass. So any NSDictionary method can be called on a NSMutableDictionary.
Ooh that's good. My bad. Thanks for the clarification! :)

2010 C2D MBP and you say it is slowing down for day to day tasks?
Hogwash. :D
And if the hard drive is going to fail aren't you under warranty still? They came out 4/10. Maybe you haven't missed the deadline yet.
Worst case it is a good time to put a SSD in that baby. :)
anyway not seeing the point of getting a MBA, iPad and iMac. And even stranger is making your mind up to get all this stuff, but somehow you don't know which iMac you want or whether a 27" model is "worth" it?
I don't think those 3 devices are "worth" it.

I'm new to the JB world and so far I'm loving it on my iPhone for MiWi tethering, LockInfo, and themes.
However, I cannot think of a reason to JB my iPad as well besides themes. I figured I'd ask you pros your JB functions you use daily for your iPad.
Thanks ahead of time :)

Customization, using my iPad as a forensic research tool, the SNES app where my iPad is the SNES and my iPhone is the controller is pretty bad ass. :)

Sounds like the wifi chip was ready to die and on its last leg.
Deactivating the sim had nothing to do with it, just happened around the same time.
so when it worked was just a fluke? :(
Is there any way to get it fixed for cheap? I wanted to give this phone to my sis overseas.

Been there, done that. :)
Look at Activity Monitor to see what processes you have running. Be sure you're looking at "All Processes" and not just "My Processes". Also, use MRoogle (http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/) to search the forum for other threads with this same question, to see what others found to be the cause.

I'd use apple's battery replacement program. You get a refurb iPod the same model as your current one. It is $60 and you don't have to worry about breaking it when replacing the battery (which I did once). It will cost more, but it is like getting a new iPod. I did it recently and was quite happy.

I bought OS Xserver Snow Leopard 10.6 that came package with a Mac Mini. I attempted to install that version of Xserver Snow Leopard 10.6 on a dual 3.0ghz intel Xserve. It will not install on this Xserve. I keep getting a message which says, " Mac OS can't be installed on this computer". I erased the one internal drive in my Xserve. I formatted that drive with Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Is the OS Xserver that comes package with the Mac Mini server the same as the RETAIL version of OS Snow Leopard Xserver? Is there something that I am not aware of which is keeping the Mac Mini version of OS Xserver Snow Leopard from installing?

I'm a big Blu-ray fan, but I think you answered your own question. You don't think you'll use it for BDs, so don't spend (waste?) the extra money. DVDRW drives are so cheap nowadays, it's not the biggest decision in the world anyway is it? If you decide in the future that you do want BD reading or writing capability, they will be cheaper by then, so it's a win-win.
(I didn't wait, I love Blu-ray).

hello,
i recently moved and had to get a new AT&T internet DSL account. As a result, I had to set up everything again with my d-link 520b modem and now the time capsule does not work. when i first bought the time capsule, apple support had to help with the set up. i'm out of free tech support warranty not realizing that i would ever have to go through that pain again. does anyone know how to connect the two? any help is appreciated.

After flawless operation since getting my iPad 2 on launch day I am now having some issues.
1. Wi-Fi will randomly drop out.
2. This causes the touch recognition to be unresponsive. Home button, power, volume buttons all fine.
3. Occasionally the iPad will then act like it is possessed and will randomly perform touch related operations.
4. This requires a reset, turning Wi-Fi Off and back on to recognize the network.
5. A few times the Wi-Fi has "Grayed Out" and requires a rest of network settings to restore it.
6. Also will cause the time on the iPad to become out of sync.
I have tried doing a restore with and without using a backup file. The wireless router apperas to be functioning fine and is used by a Laptop, two iPhones, and a DS with no issues at all. The iPad had no issues for weeks either.
Funny thing is that is seems to be happening only in the evening time. My wife uses it during the day while I am at work and she has had no problems.
What are my options here? If I can fix this that is the best thing, but if not I purchased it at Best Buy WITHOUT a protection plan. Do I need to return it to Best Buy or take it to an Apple Store (An hour and a half away)

(Note: Don't take the hood off a monitor and start poking around inside unless you are conversant with high voltage safety precautions or have a paid up life insurance policy. Those puppies have enough juice to stun a horse in them even when unplugged.)
Very good, sound advice. That being said I have salvaged many a discarded monitor doing little more than a degauss and adjusting the flyback transformer(the dangerous part.) I have heard that there is enough "zap" inside to send a man clear across the room.

I have the same issue too. now every time I open a YouTube link, I'll pull up the app switcher tray while in the YouTube app and X out safari to reset it.
I have the same problem as well...It started on both my Ipad and Ipad after the iOS 4.3 update. What I do is just touch the screen with the blank Safari page and it will automatically close and reopen back to the page you were on...Hopefully this glitch is corrected with the 4.3.2 update that is coming soon.
