Thanks! I sure hope so, I was looking at a monster of a Javascript book the other day... got a bit of a challenge ahead of me, but I have liked coding so far.
I got my development job from learning PHP, once you start being able to hook into databases and write "real" functions (something that imo javascript isn't much good for) then you can do some really cool stuff :)
Just out of curiosity I was looking at job listings for web development and most of them listed PHP as something they wanted people to know, so I figured it was something I should be learning. Thanks for confirming that!

I have mine pre-ordered, but now after finding out they are giving away t-shirts to the first customers, I think I'll go and pick up a copy for a friend of mine and just keep the t-shirt!

Seems more like a gimmick than really a useful concept.

Dont post a photo and expect all praise ;) If you cant take criticism, don't post.
I like the photo - its good. However as others have pointed out, the graining devalues it (IMO) and makes the picture look amateurish. I can see where you were going though and like it.
Trying to tell me what the ambient light was like without having ever been there isn't criticism.

I wasn't trying to attack you or anything, and I'm not trying to say that you don't know what you're doing; I'm just saying that I think the photo could've been taken differently, and I'd like it all the more for that. Come on now. Probably should learn a bit about photography before you try to tell experienced photographers that they're doing it wrong (when it comes to something as simple as exposure), people might take you more seriously. Anyone who knows anything about exposure will tell you that bumping down to 400 from 3200 is reducing your amount of light by TWO stops...

You can still add Keywords easily to photos or groups of photos same as you could in older versions of iPhoto if you open the Keyword manager first (command+k). Select the photo or a group of photos and click on the Keyword from the list of Keywords. Another way is to put a check mark next to Keywords under the View menu and then use the show "Info" button at the bottom of iPhoto, this will let you select photos and type in a Keyword where it says "Add a keyword...."

Handbrake is a free download
So is VLC
With VLC installed you can run directly from Handbrake in one step to encode from a DVD
I just prefer to rip with another program first

I have SBSettings set to show my free RAM, and lately my RAM has been very low. I can't pinpoint exactly when it started, but I typically have ~65 MB with nothing open. As soon as I open an app or two, it drops to 10-15 MB. In the past I had ~100 MB and no problems running things.
I've tried disabling all Winterboard themes, uninstalling a bunch of Cydia packages, everything. It's really getting annoying because my iPod has been crazy slow due to this.
I have a 32 GB iPod Touch 4G running 4.3.2, jailbroken with redsn0w. I have roughly 15 GB free. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi guys, I wrote a program that loads a couple web pages, but I need them to display in the iphone style. if you go to news.google.com on your mac, as compared with you iPhone it displays a different page. I really need this page to be displayed in the iPhone version in my program. How is this possible using the WebKit ?

if that's still not working bring it to the genius, cuz mine needs less than 1 minute to wake up from sleep (win7), and about 2mins to startup for win7 i guess.. :D

I don't use Zips anymore...... and the TiBooks battery/sleep change function is so cool, that not having the extra bay really isn't a problem.......
The only real advantage the Pismo has over the TiBook is that it's doesn't look so knackered if you treat it badly....... and it's stronger...... but that's cos it's built like a Tonka truck...... and feels like it when you pick it up too...... :p

I got a refurb for my then 20 month old 3Gs about 3 weeks ago. It's a 5K.
It looks and feels new (nice to havea FRESH oleophobic screen!), but is slower than molasses with 4.3.2 (mine had 4.3.1 or 4.3) and the bluetooth is very hard to connect to my horseless carriage whereas the old one connected fine. If I like and get the iPhone 5 this fall, no biggie, but if I do not like it and hand another year with the 3Gs I may be an unhappy camper.
